ACRYLIC PAINTINGS
All Paintings are original works and one of a kind. They are stretched and "Gallery Wrapped" with staples on backside. The Canvases or Linens are primed and sealed with a special acrylic Gesso formulation on both sides . All wood stretchers are primed and sealed in the same manner with very strong cross-braces. The colors in the paintings are permanent and Guaranteed "light-fast" and will never crack. All paintings are easily cleaned and are provided with instructions for maintenance. Every Painting is ready to hang.
* Most paintings are shipped in strong wooden crates unless they are very small.
Private commissions are available upon request with negotiable terms. Please inquire through phone call or E-mail.

WHAT ARE DIGIGRAPHS? HOW IS A DIGIGRAPH MADE?
In creating the digital works, I employ the same skills used when making a painting or drawing. Using scanned photographs and hand drawn sketches, I build digital collages by creatively combining elements then modifying colors, contours and shadows to get the composition that fulfills my vision.
Through the use of a digital pen and tablet, the collage is then translated into hundreds of hand drawn shapes and countless layers. Each of the shapes can be carefully adjusted to the color, shade and transparency of choice. On the computer, the drawing process is revolutionary and magic compared to traditional pencil and paper. The process of forming digital drawing lines is more like shaping a flexible wire. It is a virtual stained glass window that can be pulled, stretched, diffused, reshaped and re-colored. Although more time consuming than traditional drawing or painting, this method allows changes to be made cleanly, spontaneously and readily without having to start over.
I also work in reverse - using the collages I create on the computer as sketches for orignal acrylic paintings. The digital collages are also further fashioned and refined into standalone works.
When satisfied with the piece as viewed on screen, the Giclée printing process can begin. All of the digigraph prints are made by the artist in the studio on a professional wide-format Giclée printer. I have extensive experience making large format giclée prints. In this way, all of my digigraphs are original works of art from start to finish. This new printing process yields extremely high definition prints, which were not previously possible using traditional mediums.
Currently, I am making prints up to 44 inches in height and at almost any length using canvas, smooth and textured fine art papers, watercolor paper and adhesive fabric.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FINE ART PAPER AND CANVAS PRINTS
- FINE ART PAPERS: A Fine Art Paper Giclée print is a museum quality archival digital print produced on a smooth textured paper , velvet textured paper or coarse textured watercolor paper. We select the appropriate paper texture depending upon how it best suits a particular image. Our selection of fine art papers are 100 percent cotton mould-made with a special coating for pigmented inks. These papers are also acid, lignin and chlorine free. If this is what you prefer, we recommend a Matte Print.
- CANVAS: A Canvas Giclée is a museum quality archival digital print produced on real canvas. Our canvas selection is made from a durable acid free blend of 65% Polyester and 35% Cotton. This unique heavyweight, quality canvas utilizes a tight weave and displays a subtle texture for incredible color. If you wish to have a print with the luminosity of the paintings, we recommend the canvas prints.
- DIGI-FRESCO™: A Digi-Fresco is a Giclée print produced on coated fabric with an adhesive backing. Prints made with this material can be placed directly on walls and other flat surfaces. The adhesive backing will not leave a sticky residue on most surfaces. Prints can be removed, re-positioned and reused over and over again. The adhesive never weakens. The material will not rip or wrinkle and is water resistant. Digi-Fresco prints are an economical print option. They do not have to be framed or placed under glass. If you do not wish to place your Digi-Fresco print directly on the wall, it can be placed on a hard board such as foam core, gator board or MDF board. If preferable, mouting, matting, framing and glass are always an option . Another feature of the Digi-Fresco is that it can be illuminated with backlighting, such as on a window or light box. Illuminated prints require a special printing process and must be requested in advance.

CUSTOMIZED PRINT FRAMING
If you are interested in purchasing a framed print, please call or E-mail Morton Arts.
We currently offer both custom framing and ready-made framing services. This is a customized service, in which we save you the time and inconvenience of selecting a frame.
We consult with a framer (for you) to select a mat and frame that best compliments your purchased print. You are welcome to specify a preference, such as a wood or metal frame, or a general color. Other framing specifications are welcome. However, keep in mind that certain mat colors or frame tones may not compliment the artwork. Our goal is to find a happy medium between our artistic choice and your personal preference. Please call for more details or a price estimate.
Our customized framing services are only performed after a print is purchased.
Free delivery may be possible for larger orders within the Boston Metropolitan area,
For more details call Morton Arts 781- 329 - 7449.
READY- MADE FRAMING
We will select a ready-made frame for your print, provided that one is available and suitable to the size and colors of the image. Ready-made frame options are limited and their proportions are not always appropriate. When a ready-made frame is requested, we will custom print the image to fit the size of the frame. This can result in a slightly larger or smaller print size. The print is mounted on a white acid-free board and placed in the frame with custom mat. The framed print will be ready to hang when it arrives.
